Born in 1936, Ed Rouse began plumbing as a young man with his Father in Iowa.  Ed joined the military and continued his plumbing career during his 20 years of service.  During his service, Ed was stationed in many places through out the world.  He was stationed at Randoplh A.F.B. in 1968 for 11 months, which, was long enough to discover what a wonderful area it was. When Ed retired from the serivce, he moved his family back to Texas, settled in Universal City and then founded Ed Rouse Plumbing in 1985.  Ed worked in the field plumbing and his wife, June, ran the office out of their home.  Word of mouth started the growth of his business and Ed hired his first employee in 1986. Ed and June moved their company out of their house and on April 19, 1988 they had a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the event.  In January 1999 Ed and June sold their business to their Daughter, Susan Rouse, who is a third generation plumber.  Susan incorporated the business and continues to operate Ed Rouse Plumbing, Inc. today.
