Garbage Disposal:  For a fresh smell, grind up quartered lemons in your disposal. Run ice in the grinder to sharpen the blades.  And, remember to run a lot of water after using your disposal to carry the waste out.

Going On Vacation?  Don't come home to a flooded house, turn your water off before you leave.  To save on energy, turn down the temperature on your water heater too. 

Water Heater:  Mineral build up can shorten the life of your water heater. Flush your water heater annually to help preserve the life of the tank.    

Air Conditioner Drain Line:  Pour bleach down your drain line to keep algae build up from stopping up the line.

Cloudy Ice?  Replacing your ice maker filter annually will ensure mineral removal and clean, clear ice.

Washing Machine:  Remember the old saying "what was once a solid will become solid again"? This is true with everything including your laundry detergent.  Use a liquid detergent instead of powder.  Powder can cake up in the line and cause stoppages.
